The Shoestring Tackle

Aaron, Bryan, Brad, and Scott Weseman were playing tackle football in the Wesemans' basement, 2 on 2. At one point, Scott decided to go for the TOUCHDOWN. Aaron, who was opposing Scott, attempted a shoestring tackle to stop Scott from scoring.

He dove after Scott and just barely snagged one of Scott's feet. Scott tripped and fell forward, slamming into the fireplace. He had a huge, bleeding gash in his forehead. He had to get stitches.

Aaron felt SO bad for Scott, and for what he'd done. To hear Dad tell it now, he could deeply empathize with Scott because he could put himself in Scott's shoes and imagine how he felt.
