When fourth grade came along, Aaron was placed into the strictest teacher's class.
Ms. Pelch was her name.
Aaron found his name on the list of her class and thought oh no. Everyone pitied anyone who was placed as her student, because she was very stern. Very, very stern.
Aaron was a really good student, though. Ms. Pelch knew Aaron would never cause any trouble whatsoever.
Well, one day the class was doing arts and crafts. Aaron was just minding his own business, cutting out paper, etc. At one point, Aaron wadded up a piece of paper and stood up to throw it into the garbage can. It went all the way across the room and landed straight in the bucket.
Ms. Pelch noticed out of the corner of her eye that someone had thrown some paper across the class. But the garbage was blocked by a chalk board on wheels, so she didn't see what happened to it.
She stood up and the meanest look spread across her face.
"Who threw that?" she yelled. She was visibly very angry.
Aaron started shaking very hard. He slowly raised his hand.
When she saw that it was Aaron who had tossed the paper, her whole countenance softened a bit, because after all, Aaron was a great student.
"Oh," she said. "Well go pick it up."
"But, Ms. Pelch," Aaron said sheepishly. "I made it."
Surprised, Ms. Pelch said "Well, it's a good thing you are a good basketball player."
The end.
