Aaron was probably about ten or eleven years old on a particular spring day--when the snow was melting on the grass in the warm sun.
He walked outside and gazed over his side fence, noticing four boys jumping on the trampoline. Shirtless. Two of them were brothers named Ryan and Dustin, and the other two were the friends. Aaron had never really associated with those boys on a first name/friendly basis, but they were neighbors all the same.
Anyway Aaron's goal was to practice some basketball: because if he was outside in his backyard, there was really one thing he'd be doing and that was it.
The snow on the grass was hard packed. You know when it turns to water and then freezes again like ice? It was like that now, and Aaron thought it'd be funny to chuck one of 'em frigid, rigid snowballs over two fences and try to hit the boys.
Good plan, Aaron.
So he started shooting a few hoops before he'd take action. After a few minutes he noticed himself getting hot and sweaty, took off his brand new BYU hoodie from Christmas, and draped it over his brick fence/wall. Then he scooped up some snow and formed it into a ball.
A rock solid ball.
Whoosh! The ball was flung over the fence somewhat blindly. The whoosh was followed by a loud smack! and some screaming from the boys.
Oops. Yeah, it sounded like Aaron had hit someone in the bare back alright.
He hurriedly ran into his house, afraid someone would come over to his backyard and pound on him. No one did, as he was in the safety of his home. But he did leave his brand new BYU sweatshirt outside.
When he came outside to check on it, it was gone, and he never saw it again.
I guess that's the price you pay when you blindside someone in the back with an icy snowball.
Time Spent: 25 mins
